Bremore Educate Together Secondary School is proud to be part of the Erasmus+ program, an initiative funded by the European Union. Through this program, the school actively engages in international projects, fostering collaboration, cultural exchange, and innovative learning opportunities for students and staff. EU funding enables Bremore ETSS to participate in transformative educational experiences, promoting global citizenship and enhancing the school's commitment to inclusive and forward-thinking education.
2024 - 2025
In the 2024-25 academic year, we welcomed staff from Sibelius Lukio in Helsinki Finland to our school. They observed classes, learned about our school ethos and vision, and engaged with different extra-curricular activities. Later this year, we will welcome staff from Lycée René Descartes High School in Rennes, France for a job shadowing visit. Staff and students will then visit Lycée René Descartes High School as part of an Erasmus + exchange.
2025-2026
In March 2026, We have had the wonderful Pipsa from Sibelius Lukio in Helsinki Finland in job shadowing in Bremore for the programme. Thanks to Jennifer and the team for organising.
Students participated in our cultural exchange with Sibelius-Lukio Upper Secondary School in Helsinki, in April 2026, following our visit from their students in October 2025. During this exchange, students stayed with host families and took part in a number of cultural experiences, as well as attending upper secondary school. Students visited Oodi Library, Suomenlinna Fortress, and Fazer Chocolate Experience. They did a day trip to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, by ferry where they took part in their Amazing Race activity, exploring the history and culture of Estonia. They then visited Vabamu museum and had some time to explore the old town UNESCO world heritage site. In school, they attended classes, including English, Maths, History and Ikebana, got to experience an amazing dance recital in the school hall and learned about the Finnish education system from their hosts. Our students presented on Bremore ETSS and life in Irish secondary schools to our Finnish hosts and the wider school community in Sibelius-Lukio.

Staff Erasmus+ Courses
In March 2026, Kayleigh had the wonderful opportunity to take part in an Erasmus+ course in Florence, Italy, titled “We Are All Special: Inclusion and Support for Students with Special Needs In and Out of the Classroom.”
Throughout the week, we explored inclusive teaching strategies, peer interaction in diverse classrooms, movement-based and relaxation techniques, and practical activities to better support students with special educational needs. The course provided valuable opportunities to collaborate with teachers from different countries, share best practices, and reflect on how to create more inclusive learning environments in our own schools.
Beyond the professional development, experiencing the culture and history of Florence made this Erasmus+ mobility even more enriching.
During the 2026 February mid-term break, Colm attended an Erasmus+ course in Prague. He participated in a course focusing on emotional intelligence, conflict management and anti-bullying.
